Join Rec Staff on the first Friday of the month for snacks, games, and other activities! Activities vary by month, so be sure to register for your favorites. Registration is not required, but preferred.

• AI Adventures
  Our course is designed to introduce your child to the world of Artificial Intelligence and inspire their creativity and curiosity. In this class, your child will have the opportunity to work with some of the latest and most cutting edge AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, and Novel.ai. They'll learn how to use these tools to create their own animations, short stories, and even films! Through hands-on activities and projects, your child will learn how AI works and how it can be used to solve problems and give them new outlets for them to express their creativity . They'll get to practice their critical thinking and collaboration skills as they work on projects with their classmates. If your child will need a computer, you can rent directly from Athena Coding for $40/session (more information...)
• Checkmate Chess
  OutOfTheBoxKids Chess class is a great way to sprinkle a little intellectual stimulation into your After-school activities! This class covers a complete introduction to the chess pieces. The focus is to teach kids the different moves and values, to understanding and strategizing on good trades versus bad trades, to ending the game with a checkmate! Everyone’s skill level is considered, as our coaches provide the most rewarding experience for your child. Our Chess class has a fun and friendly spirit while having a real blast! • Haunted House LEGO
  This Halloween season, join Play-Well TEKnologies for a LEGO Haunted House workshop! Participants will use their imagination to create their own spooky designs, building their haunted houses and engineering their own traps with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. • Kid's Yoga
  In JAMaROO Kids Yoga class, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the Mountains , diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques.   Pop, Squish, Swirl, & Crunch with the Slime Kitchen. Join us for an hour of gooey, messy fun as we make our slime and play slime games. We'll bring the ingredients from our kitchen to you.
