Join The Cake Robin for another Family Fun baking class! In this session, you’ll learn to make great bagels and soft pretzels from scratch. You will be working together to mix bagel and pretzel dough, knead it by hand, shape it, then boil and bake your bagels and pretzels to get just the right texture. You get to choose the toppings for your individual bagels and pretzels. You'll leave the class with recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, and the bagels and pretzels you made in class.
Class is open to children 8 and up with their favorite “Dad” (must be over 18). This course does not have to be with "Dad" specifically. Any important adult in your life is welcome! Class fee is per person. Every person needs to register for admittance.
What To Expect: All ingredients, equipment and aprons are provided for use during class. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back. You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class. Please bring a container or two to take home your creations. Recipes are developed using common baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits, nuts, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please let instructor Robin know at least three days before class by emailing her at robin@thecakerobin.com so you can discuss alternatives. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
Age Range: 8-99
